Check and replacement of the sensor of impulses

The DME control unit obtains information on engine speed from the pulse sensor which is at a gear wreath behind a pulley of a maple belt of a bent shaft. The second sensor at a head of cylinders is the sensor of recognition of the cylinder.

 CHECK

1. For check disconnect the corresponding plug at a cable plait. If necessary previously remove the inlet pipeline since it is difficult to reach plugs.
2. Measure by an ohmmeter resistance on contacts of plugs of the corresponding sensor. If necessary replace.
The required value at a temperature + 20 °C:
Pulse sensor of a bent shaft: 1.3 kOhm.
Sensor of recognition of the cylinder: between contact 1 2: max. 1 Ohm; between contact 2 and 3: more than 10 megohms.

Removal of the pulse sensor of a bent shaft

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the plug of the pulse sensor.

2. Disconnect an oil pipeline at the VANOS control unit and close a pure stopper.

3. Disconnect a load-lifting eye of the engine. Pay attention to a cable (1) for the subsequent correct assembly.

4. Take out a sensor cable from guides. For this purpose disconnect the mine of a cable at clips and remove.

5. Turn off a bolt at an asterisk of a bent shaft and take out the sensor with a cover.


INSTALLATION

1. Insert the sensor and slightly tighten a bolt the moment of 5 Nanometers.
2. Check the probe sensor distance from an asterisk. The required value: 0.7 - 1.3 mm.
3. Lay a connecting cable in guides that the wire did not rub about maple a belt. Join shtekerny connection.
4. Fix a load-lifting eye of the engine.
5. Fix an oil pipeline with new sealing rings at the VANOS block.

Removal of the sensor of recognition of the cylinder

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Uncover the engine, address the Section Removal and installation of the coil of ignition.

2. It is difficult to reach the sensor. Therefore at first to a rasstykuyta shtekerny connection at the electromagnetic valve of the VANOS block also disconnect the valve. Address an accompanying illustration.

3. Disconnect an oil pipeline at the VANOS block and close an opening a pure stopper, cm иллюстр. 4.4.

4. Turn off a bolt of fastening of the sensor and remove the sensor. Address an accompanying illustration.

5. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection of the sensor.


INSTALLATION

1. Insert the sensor. Pay attention to the provision of rubber consolidation of the sensor. If necessary replace it.
2. Fix the sensor by the moment of 5 Nanometers.
3. Lay and join a sensor cable.
4. Fix an oil pipeline with new sealing rings and fix by its moment 30 Nanometers to the VANOS block.
5. Screw the electromagnetic valve the moment of 30 Nanometers in the VANOS block. Replace the damaged laying with new. Join shtekerny connection of the valve.
6. Establish the top cover of the engine, address the Section Removal and installation of the coil of ignition.
