Processing of saddles of valves in a head cylinders / grinding in of valves

Processing of saddles of valves is required in case they have wear tracks and obgoraniye or if guides were processed. At the same time it is necessary to observe values of an adjustment corner and width of a facet. To replace saddles, using ordinary technical means it is impossible since they were installed with cooling to - 150 °C. Processing of a saddle requires the special machine. This work has to be performed in conditions HUNDRED. Values of angles of processing are given in Specifications.

Outer diameter of a saddle of the valve (4) corresponds to the outer diameter of the valve.

 

Grinding in of saddles

At correctly carried out processing of saddles of valves and new valves grinding in of saddles in a head of cylinders is not required.

Valves have to get used only fine-grained paste. The sucker which is put on a plate of the valve is applied to grinding in. During grinding in it is necessary to raise often the valve at the same time rotating it further. It excludes formation of furrows on the ground-in surface.

After grinding in paste needs to be removed carefully from the valve.


Quality of grinding in can be checked on appearance and fuel. For this purpose insert the valve freely into the turned head of cylinders and fill in fuel from above in the combustion chamber. After a long time (1 hour) fuel should not follow from a guide. Otherwise grinding in needs to be repeated.
