Removal and installation of injectors

New injectors are processed by preservative. In 5 min. work they are cleared by fuel. It is not necessary to store a long time injectors unused since they rust.

 REMOVAL

1. Uncover a butterdish. Remove small covers (arrows on an accompanying illustration) the screw-driver and turn off the bolts which are under them. Remove two plastic facings.

2. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connections of sensors of oxygen. Disconnect the plug of the electromagnetic VANOS valve. Address an accompanying illustration.

3. Remove a plug level of injectors and take it aside.

There is a risk of fire. You do not smoke. The fuel system is under pressure. Collect the flowed-out fuel by a rag.

4. Disconnect at first a hose of supply of fuel (1), then return (2) from the fuel distributive highway. Address an accompanying illustration. For this purpose open collars. At assembly collars are replaced with new.

At some models the hose of giving is attached directly to the distributive highway. In this case at assembly the sealing ring is replaced with new.

5. In some executions fuel hoses fasten clips. In this case the special BMW 16 1 050 tool or similar is necessary for removal of clips. Before installation check a sealing ring. In the presence of damages replace it. Address an accompanying illustration.

6. Turn out fastening bolts (arrows on an accompanying illustration) to the fuel distributive highway.

7. Disconnect a vacuum hose (1) at pressure regulator. (2 - fuel accession, 3 - a fastening point). Address an accompanying illustration.

8. Remove the distributive highway of fuel complete with injectors from a head of cylinders up. Injectors are only inserted and can be taken freely out.

9. Remove stoppers (4) sideways and remove injectors.

 INSTALLATION

1. Insert injectors into the distributive highway and record from brackets.

2. Grease sealing rings (1) with vaseline or oil for the SAE 90 transmission. Address an accompanying illustration.
3. Evenly insert injectors with the distributive highway into a head of cylinders.

At installation of injectors you watch to damaging sealing rings (1). Replace the damaged rings. At the same time you monitor the provision of a ring (2). Grease sealing rings before installation with vaseline or oil for transmissions.

4. Fix the distributive highway by two bolts on a head of cylinders
5. Put on hoses of giving and return of fuel the distributive highway. Fix by new collars, address the subsection "Removal".
6. Join shtekerny connections of sensors of oxygen and the electromagnetic VANOS valve.
7. Fix a plug level of injectors.
8. Fix two covers of the engine. Screw covers on butterdishes.
9. Consider these memories of malfunctions of the DME block. After elimination of malfunctions clear memory.
