Removal and RKPP and AT installation

Here removal of RKPP is described. Recommendations about removal of AT are provided separately.

 REMOVAL

1. Disconnect a weight cable from the rechargeable battery. The battery is in a luggage carrier behind the right side facing.

At a detachment of the battery the memories given in electronic blocks, for example, memories of malfunctions of the engine are erased. Address recommendations of the Section Removal and installation of the rechargeable battery.

2. Lift and install the car on supports and remove system of production of the fulfilled gases, address the Section Removal and installation of system of release.
3. Disconnect a cable of the lever of switching of the reverse gear at RKPP.

4. Turn off bolts of fastening and disconnect a disk of the cardan hinge from RKPP. That the disk was not deformed, turn off only nuts, without touching bolts.

5. Take the driveshaft aside and remove from the aligning pin.

Tie the driveshaft a wire to a body. Do not allow its change in the hinge.

6. Turn off bolts of fastening and remove the holder of the lower guard of a motive compartment (1) and (2) and the heat-shielding screen (3).

7. Remove the working cylinder of the drive of coupling.

Do not disconnect a hydrowire, address the Section Removal and installation of the working cylinder of coupling.

8. Disconnect on both sides from the stabilizer press bars. At the same time hold a wrench a spherical support for turnkey sides. Reject the stabilizer upward.

 

9.

Raise RKPP by means of garage a jack a little. After that turn off bolts of fastening and disconnect a cross-piece from the bottom (an arrow on an accompanying illustration).

10. Lay wooden laying or the special BMW 11 7 370 tool between the pallet of a case and a beam of a forward suspension bracket not to damage the pallet.

11. Lower a box a garage jack.

12. Bring the second garage jack in a forward part of the engine since after removal of RKPP the engine can overturn forward.

13. Remove a lock bracket (4) from draft of switching. Remove washers (5) on both sides of draft and take out draft.

14. Reject upward the screw-driver a finger of draft of switching. Take out a finger.

Automatic transmission

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a drive cable at AT, address the Section Adjustment of the Drive of Gear Shifting.
2. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection at AT, having opened a stopper.
3. Turn off bolts of fastening and remove the holder of the oil pipeline going to the oil heater at the case pallet.

4. Disconnect the holder (1) of an oil pipeline at AT. Take out oil pipelines. Address an accompanying illustration.

For collecting the following oil substitute capacity. Hit of pollution in oil pipelines is not allowed. Close them polyethylene and fix by rubber rings.

5. Uncover sideways at an opening (1) of the lower part of the block of cylinders. Turn off a narrow head in the order of three bolts of fastening of the converter of torque. You watch that bolts did not fall in the block. That bolts remained in a groove, turn the engine for a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft.

6. Bring a garage jack and the corresponding tool under AT. AT has to be supported only for a case, but not for the case pallet.
7. Turn off bolts of fastening of AT to the engine. Bolts of fastening are located also, as well as at RKPP.

8. You watch that the converter was not displaced. For this purpose at a case of AT bring pincers the flat party to the converter and press it. If it is impossible to bring pincers, at removal of AT you watch that the converter did not slip out AT. Disconnect AT from the engine.

9. Turn out fastening bolts Torx head.

10. Disconnect AT from the engine and by means of the assistant take away back.


 INSTALLATION

1. Before installation check coupling, address the Section Removal, installation and check of coupling.
2. Check ease of the course of the bearing of switching off of coupling. Grease the bearing with plastic lubricant "Molykote Longtherm 2", address the Section Removal and installation of the mechanism of switching off of coupling.
3. Grease with a thin layer of plastic lubricant "Microlude GL 261" shlitsevy grooves of main shaft RKPP. You do not apply too much lubricant. Otherwise it can get on the frictional surfaces of coupling that will lead to its unsatisfactory work. The amount of the applied lubricant corresponds to the size of corn grain.
4. Include any transfer.

Check whether adjusting plugs (1) and (2) between the engine and RKPP stand still.

5. Raise a box and enter it horizontally into coupling. If at installation the main shaft is not fixed in the conducted clutch plate, turn it behind for a driveshaft flange a hand.

6. Screw bolts of fastening of Torx of RKPP to the engine. Do not forget about washers. The moments of an inhaling of bolts of Torx and bolts with a six-sided head are given in Specifications
7. Raise RKPP and fix a cross-piece by the moment given in Specifications.
8. Install the working cylinder of the drive of coupling, address the Section Removal and installation of the working cylinder of coupling.
9. Grease fingers of draft of switching with plastic lubricant "Kluber Polylub GLY 801" and insert. Take away a stopper back.
10. Insert draft. Put on a finger of a washer and record a lock washer. For RKPP further execute paragraphs, starting with the item 9 of following "Performance order" for automatic transmission.

Automatic transmission

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn the torque converter so that openings at plates showed in the center of openings of a flywheel. Enter the special tool (mandrel) into a plate.

2. At interface of the engine to AT three levels of fastening on the converter of torque have to coincide with three ledges on engine flywheel levels. It is impossible to combine them then. It can lead to damages.

3. Establish AT and carefully insert a mandrel into an opening on a lead. After fastening of transmission turn out a mandrel.

4. Remove pincers at a case of AT and screw three bolts of fastening of the converter in AT openings. Tighten bolts the moment of 45 Nanometers. When replacing bolts apply only original.

5. Remove caps from oil pipelines and connect oil pipelines to AT with new consolidations. Fix holders of oil pipelines.
6. Fix holders of an oil pipeline at the engine case pallet.
7. Join shtekerny connection at AT. Record it.
8. Establish a cable of the AT drive and adjust it, address the Section Adjustment of the Drive of Gear Shifting.
9. Fill AT with oil, address the Section Check of Level and Replacement of Oil of Automatic Transmission.
10. Install the driveshaft, address the Section Removal and installation of the driveshaft.
11. Fix AT cross-piece on the bottom and transmission by the moment of 20 Nanometers. Remove a garage jack.
12. Fix the heat-shielding screen.
13. Install system of production of the fulfilled gases, address the Section Removal and installation of system of release.
14. Fix the stabilizer on press bars by the new self-stopped nuts the moment of 60 Nanometers.
15. Fix the lower guard of a motive compartment.
16. Attach a weight cable to the rechargeable battery. Establish hours. Program stations of the radio receiver.
