Removal and installation of a brake disk of back wheels

 REMOVAL

1. Remove a support of a back brake. Do not disconnect a brake hose. Otherwise after installation it is necessary to remove air from the brake system.

2. Suspend a support on a wire to a suspension bracket. You watch that the brake hose was not overwound.
3. Turn out a bolt of fastening (shooter) a face key of 5 mm.

4. Completely release the parking brake.
5. Remove a brake disk. If the disk is not removed, take away blocks of the parking brake back, address the Section Removal and installation of brake shoes of the parking brake.

Installation

For ensuring uniform braking from both wheels both brake disks have to have a surface with an identical roughness. Therefore it is necessary to replace or pierce surely both disks at the same time.
In auto repair shops the brake disk can be checked for a beating. The most admissible beating makes 0.2 mm (the established disk means).

 INSTALLATION

1. Measure thickness of a brake disk, address the Section Measurement of Thickness of a Brake Disk.
2. Clear new brake disks a nitrothinner.
3. Establish a brake disk on a nave of a back wheel and fix by a face key. Previously turn a disk that openings under bolts coincided.
4. Establish a support with brake shoes. At the same time you watch that the hose was not overwound. Fix a support, address the Section Removal and installation of back brake supports.

If the brake hose was removed, fix it and remove their systems air, address the Section Removal of Air from the brake system.

5. Adjust the parking brake, address the Section Adjustment of the Parking Brake.
6. Establish and fix back wheels. Do not oil fastening bolts. Establish wheels so that the markings put at removal coincided. Lower the car on wheels, tighten fastening bolts cross-wise the moment of 100 Nanometers.

Several times strongly press a brake pedal so that resistance was felt. At the same time brake shoes will nestle on a disk and will reach the working position.

7. Check the level of brake fluid in the tank. If necessary add it to the mark MAX.
Attention, check reliability:
   a) Whether brake hoses are fixed?
   b) Whether the brake hose is fixed in the holder?
   c) Whether the union of removal of air is tightened?
   d) Whether enough brake fluid in the tank?
   e) On the working engine check tightness of system. For this purpose press a brake pedal by effort 200 - 300 N (20 - 30 kg) and you hold it during 10 pages. The effort of pressure of a pedal of a brake to a leg should not weaken.
   f) Check all connections for tightness.

New brake disks have to be earned carefully extra in three stages.
Stage 1: 5 strong braking from the speed of 50 km/h on the road without transport.
Stage 2: let's a brake be cooled.
Stage 3: 5 braking at a speed of 50 km/h.
