The alarm system of emergency rapprochement at the parking (PDC) *

The PDC system helps you at the parking a backing. At the same time the sound signal warns you about the actual distance to an obstacle. For this purpose four ultrasonic sensors measure distance to the next object in a rear bumper. For two angular sensors the zone of measurement makes no more than 60 cm from a bumper. Range of operation of two average sensors reaches 1.5 m.

The system is involved automatically approximately in one second after inclusion of transfer of a backing or transfer of a control lever of AT to situation R if the ignition key at the same time is in situation 2. If you switched off transfer of a backing, then the PDC system will be switched off too. If you move with the trailer, then the system cannot perform the functions and therefore it in this case is disconnected.

Sound signals

At dangerous reduction of distance to the object which is behind the periodic sound signal is given. In process of rapprochement the frequency of giving of a signal and when to an obstacle there are less than 30 cm increases, the sound becomes continuous.

Giving of signals stops three seconds later if at the movement of the car (for example, parallel to a wall) rapprochement with an obstacle does not happen.

Existence of the PDC system does not exempt the driver from liability for independent assessment of distances to obstacles. The objects getting to a dead zone of sensors are not distinguished by system and do not cause operation of the alarm system. Recognition of objects can also go beyond physically possible at ultrasonic measurements, for example, in relation to a dyshl and the traction coupling device of the trailer, and also thin objects and the varnished surfaces.

For full preservation of operability of sensors they should be kept clean and to delete from them ice.

Hit on sensors of vapor jets is inadmissible for a long time (the distance should not be less than 10 m).
