Parking brake

Tightening of a brake

The lever is fixed independently. If the ignition key is in situation 2, then on an instrument guard the control lamp with the R symbol will burn at the same time (address the Section Governing bodies and devices).

Otpuskany brakes

Pull the lever a little up, press the button and lower the lever down.

The parking brake is intended only for deduction of the motionless car from the spontaneous movement and affects back wheels.

If as an exception it is necessary to use the parking brake during the movement, then do not tighten it with a big force. At the same time it is necessary to hold constantly pressed the button on the lever.

Sharp tightening of the parking brake can lead to blocking of back wheels and a drift of the car.

When tightening the parking brake stoplights do not light up.

Cars with RKPP: at the parking on roads with a strong bias tighten the parking brake as inclusion of the first transfer or transfer of a backing under certain circumstances is insufficient to prevent spontaneous start-off of the car from the place. Cars with AT: transfer the AT lever to situation P.

In order to avoid formation of corrosion at rise at a small speed to the traffic light from time to time slightly tighten the lever of the parking brake if, certainly, it is allowed by a road and transport situation.
