Check of sensors

Treat sensors, in particular: oil pressure relay sensor, sensor of a reserve of brake and cooling liquid.

 CHECK

1. Attach a control lamp or an ohmmeter to switch plugs. For this purpose disconnect cables from the switch.

The switches screwed in the block of cylinders, as a rule, have no weight cable as connection with weight is carried out via the case.

2. At the closed switch the device has to give evidences. Best of all for this purpose to use an ohmmeter. At the closed switch the ohmmeter has to show zero Ohms at opened infinity of Ohms.
3. The easiest to check operability of sensors of a reserve of cooling liquid and brake fluid as follows. At the included ignition disconnect a wire from the switch and apply it to a reliable point of weight, for example to the block of cylinders. If the corresponding signaling device on dashboards, then malfunction in the switch lights up.
4. The special case represents the oil pressure relay sensor. At the idle engine the contact is closed (the signaling device burns). The switch works only with a certain pressure of oil.
