BMW 5 Series E39

1. Disconnect a weight cable from the rechargeable battery. The battery is in a luggage carrier behind the right side facing.

At a detachment of the battery the memories given in electronic blocks, for example, memories of malfunctions of the engine are erased. Address recommendations of the Section Removal and installation of the rechargeable battery.

Example: Switch of the alarm system

2. Uncover on the top of the gear shifting lever.
3. Wring out the damping insert aside.
4. Through an opening in the central console squeeze out from below the switch.
5. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection.

Example: Switch of heating of a seat.

6. Remove the control unit of the heater/conditioner, address the Section Removal and installation of the control unit of a heater or the conditioner. Through an opening in the central console squeeze out from below the switch.

7. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection. For this purpose fingers press a stopper. Address an accompanying illustration.

Example: Light switch.

8. Remove the handle (1) from light switch.

9. Remove a dashboard block frame, address the Section Removal and installation of the block of the dashboard.
10. Turn off a nut (4) from a switch axis.
11. Remove a diaphragm (2).
12. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection.
13. Squeeze out the switch of light (3) from a frame back.
14. Installation of the switch is made in the return sequence.
15. Attach a weight cable to the rechargeable battery. Establish hours. Program stations of the radio receiver.
