BMW 5 Series E39

1. Disconnect a weight cable from the rechargeable battery. The battery is in a luggage carrier behind the right side facing.

At a detachment of the battery the memories given in electronic blocks, for example, memories of malfunctions of the engine are erased. Address recommendations of the Section Removal and installation of the rechargeable battery.

2. Isolate a negative pole of the rechargeable battery for an exception of casual electric contacts.

3. Turn out a bolt (1) in the air channel.

4. Take out the screw-driver a plafond of the lower illumination of salon, a rasstykuyta shtekerny connection and remove a lamp.
5. Take out the small screw-driver the switch (2) storing of provision of a seat. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection also remove the switch.

6. Take out the small screw-driver the console of management (3) window regulators and exterior mirrors.

7. Remove the plug as follows:
   - Plug 1: Wring out sideways the small screw-driver a stopper, without taking out it. The switch is taken out upward by the lever mechanism.
   - Plug 2: Press a lock hook down and incline a lock clip aside. The switch is taken out upward.

8. Remove the console of management.

9. Take out a peak (4) from an aperture of the door handle and turn out the bolt which is under it.

10. Disconnect facing of a door sideways and from below. For this purpose delay fingers of edge of facing. The arrangement of clips (arrow) is shown on an illustration.

11. Displace facing upward and release it from the central clip and from the top brackets. The clip is on facing inside around (And).
12. Shift the door drive through an opening in facing.
13. Raise and remove facing under the button of blocking of a door (2).

14. If the central clip (1) remained on a door, remove it, as shown in an accompanying illustration and fix on facing.

15. Disconnect a loudspeaker cable. Unscrew screws of fastening and remove a box of a loudspeaker (1).

Observe security measures during the work with a safety cushion, address to the Section of the Security measure during the work with a safety cushion.

16. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection (orange color) of a side safety cushion. Unscrew screws of fastening and put a safety cushion with a cover upward, for example in a luggage pocket.

17. Disconnect a cable (1) from the internal handle of a door and remove it.

18. If it is necessary, carefully remove foam facing from an internal part of a door.

That glue consolidation remained on polyfoam, it is recommended to remove it breakthroughs at a low temperature.

1. Carefully paste foam facing to a door.

Avoid facing damages as it can lead to emergence of a draft in salon. Glue weight has to be put on all contour of facing.

2. Connect a cable to the internal handle of a door.
3. Fix a side safety cushion on a door. Join shtekerny connection.
4. Fix a box of a loudspeaker and connect the plug.

5. Check whether there are all clips of internal facing of a door. Replace the damaged clips.

6. Establish facing. Pass the internal handle of a door and electric wires through openings. Lay sound insulation (1) around a cable of a window regulator and paste in a facing opening. You watch that the drive of a door was in a plastic support.

7. Insert facing from above over the fixing button. Put it at height of a level of the mine of a door, delay a little from below and record finger-tips at an angle down to a door in five top brackets.
